The Brother Wireless Inkjet Printer is a great choice to go for low volume work. This top-tier printer has a paper tray that can hold up to 100 sheets, and a monthly duty cycle of 2500 pages. Grab yourself a pack of the best printer paper, because this printer will be ready for all of your printing needs. It’s not that much of a workhorse but it’ll do just fine for most small offices. The printer also has a document feeder that lets you scan and copy multi-page documents, and can participate in Amazon’s dash replenishment program where it makes an order for replacement ink whenever you’re just about to run out. With all these features, it’s difficult not to consider it whenever you think about the best all in one printer. If you also need some labels for your home, take at the best label printer too.

Why We Like It – Brother Inkjet Printer

The Brother MFC-J491DW is an all-in-one printer that allows you to print, fax, scan & copy, and is also a great tool to start off your small office with. This is definitely the best inkjet printer if you’re trying to save a few bucks. The Inkjet printer is a modestly priced choice that has a standard sheet capacity of 100 sheets, supports duplex printing and has an automatic document feeder capacity of 20 sheets. If you’re looking for a printer that will be easy on the environment, check out how Epson’s EcoTank printers will spare you refills.

Pros
  • 20 Sheet ADF
  • Quick scanning/copying
  • Borderless printing support
Cons
  • Slow printing speed
  • No flash drive support

Performance

This Brother Inkjet all-in-one printer works at a speed of 12 pages per minute for monochrome prints, and 6 pages per minute when printing in color. Granted, it might be slower than most, but it’s automatic document feeder can allow you to leave up to 20 sheets for the printer to process as you carry on with other work. The Brother printer completes both copying and scanning tasks in under a minute per page, and unlike the HP OfficeJet 3830, it supports automatic duplex printing to help you save up on paper. Another highly versatile printer on the market is the Brother Wireless Mfc J491dw Multi-function Replenishment.

Design

To be honest, there are plenty of other Laser printers that look a lot better than this Color inkjet, but if you value functionality over form, then this shouldn’t be an issue. The Brother Inkjet measures 6.8 by 15.7 by 13.4 inches, weighs about 18.1 pounds (lighter than the Brother Monochrome Laser Printer), and has a very crowded control panel. Next to the large set of buttons is a 1.8-inch color LCD screen, from which you can access details about your ink cartridges, and monitor the progress of any job tasks. The printer’s connectivity options are also diverse, as it supports both Ethernet & wireless connections, as well as a USB connection to a PC.

Value

The Brother Inkjet all-in-one printer has decent print quality that’s good enough to work with if the printer is going to be part of your home office. Small businesses too shouldn’t have much to complain about as long as they’re never in a hurry to get their documents printed. Printing costs with the all-in-one printer aren’t too high as well, with a black text print out averaging 4 cents per page, a graphical one at 21 cents, and a photo print out at $1.1. If you however intend to do a lot of photo printing, you’re going to get a whole lot more value with the HP ENVY 5055 over this model.

Brother Inkjet Printer Wrap Up

In a nutshell, we found the Brother printer pretty easy to use, and advise you to get it if you don’t have very large printing needs. If you run into any problems, don’t be too alarmed. The Brother Wireless All-in-one Inkjet Printer comes with a 1 year limited warranty incase of any damages, as well as a 24/hr customer support service that you can always reach out to.
